FOXES ROOM

3-5 years – staff ratio 1:8

The daily routine in Foxes is more structured with more adult-led activities alongside child-led activities. The staff follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and Development Matters documents to shape our unique curriculum which is used to plan activities. The details of these experiences are based on individual children’s next steps of development and individual children’s interests.

Curiosity and discovery are especially encouraged at this age to enhance the children’s progression and enjoy their own learning experience. The focus on independence and resilience are also vital at this age to prepare them for school life.

Our Foxes Room has it’s own outdoor play area and dining room. The importance of the social side of mealtimes is stressed in this unit. They also have the benefit of free flow play directly into the large outdoor area.
